Hello my name is Savannah. I am a two year old mixed breed girl. I am full grown and I weigh 35 pounds. I did not always weigh 35 pounds. You see I was taken from my owner a long with my five other house mates for animal cruelty and neglect. When I was taken to the shelter I only weighed nine pounds. I was so weak that I could not stand or walk. I was terrified. I had never been outside of my home and I had never been around any humans other than my owner. It was a sad life but the only life that I had ever known. I didn't get to go outside much, none of us did so we had to potty in the house and he never cleaned it up. We went so long without food that two of my house mates died and he never even noticed. I laid with them for several days hoping that they would come back, no matter how much I licked and protected them they did not wake up. I had given up and was on the brink of joining them when the police finally came and took me. I was saved by a rescue from the shelter and while I was scared, I knew that somehow I was going to be okay. I am in a foster home now learning what life should be like. I get food everyday!!! Twice a day! I get treats and oh my the belly rubs just never stop. I get to go outside now to potty and I am loving it. So much to see and smell! I have toys to play with and my very own comfy bed. This girl has never had it so good. I am all ready for a family now. a real family! My family will need to understand that when I come to live with you, I will be scared at first but with patience and treats you will steal my heart in no time at all. I will need a family with no other dogs, I am very scared of other dogs and to be honest I want your full attention. Any children in my home need to be 12 years old and up. They scare me to. No cats please, they smell like chicken. I am up to date on all of my vaccinations, spay and I have a microchip. I know I am a work in progress but I am totally worth it. If you are a work in progress then we need each other. We can grow together and figure this thing called life out. Please visit www.soardoggyrescue.org to fill out an application for me. I really need you.
